2012 Wrangler information thread
In the very near future Pentastar engine owners (all of us 2012 JK owners ...onwards) will be able squeeze even more HP while getting better MPG from their engines.
I find this to be very exciting news... It reminds me of the MOPAR multiple point injection kit to retrofit the CJ's and early YJ's engines .
"...MultiAir is a computer-controlled electrohydraulic inlet valve lift and duration control system. It offers the same advantages as BMW's well-known Valvetronic system, but is even more flexible, as it's able to control individual cylinders..."
"...The system is easily adaptable to existing engines. The key component -- an alloy block with hydraulic pistons, passages, and electrically controlled bleed valves can simply bolt on top of an existing head. Fiat Powertrain engineers call this piece simply The Brick..."

I look forward when the "Brick" will be available for sale as a kit.

Well damn. It's good news, but at the same time, bad news. I was looking foward to a 2012 but now that this thing has a good chance of going into the 2013 I will be tempted to wait.
I know you can bolt it on later...but it will be very expensive to do.
Back in the days (about 10 years ago), the Mopar injection kit used to retail for 1,400 US$ ... Now, because it's rarer it retails for 2,700 US$ .
Howdy,
After having some really bad experiences at Stevens Creek and Normandin Jeep in here in the bay area(scared me off 2 years in a row) I decided to check out Walnut Creek Jeep. Just wanted to give them a shout out for being extremely helpful and efficient with my first Jeep. JJ and Steve were great. Just sold my Hyundai Sonata... driving my wife nuts looking at millions of mod choices. Flame Red is really going to stand out.
Jack
"Jack Attack!"

"Fiat's claims for the benefits of MultiAir -- power increased 10 percent, low-end torque improved by 15 percent, fuel consumption reduced 10 percent (in both naturally aspirated and turbo flavors) -- seem to be delivered in the real world."
That could translate to roughly 310 hp, 300 lb-ft torgue, and 18/23.
There's currently an all Sahara Tan 2012 Rubi Unlimited for sale on eBay from a dealership in Scottsdale AZ. Problem is, it's no real bargain, and it has a $395 doc fee
. But, it is due in September, so that's good. Be sure to check-out the "Priced Order Confirmation" photo. Also, they have 60 2012's incoming, apparently. When is the cut-off date for ordering Sahara Tan anyway?

I couldn't ask for more
