So does this mean you can order a 2012 JK at any Canadian Chrysler dealership now?

Cool!

The challenge will be convincing the sales people that I don't want a 2011

I checked my computer... 15.8 mpg average on my 9 month old 3.8L Rubicon. And almost all of that is highway.

I find this to be very exciting news... It reminds me of the MOPAR multiple point injection kit to retrofit the CJ's and early YJ's engines .

I look forward when the "Brick" will be available for sale as a kit.

Well damn. It's good news, but at the same time, bad news. I was looking foward to a 2012 but now that this thing has a good chance of going into the 2013 I will be tempted to wait.

I know you can bolt it on later...but it will be very expensive to do.

It will never be as expensive as a supercharger kit .... and one sure thing is that, being OEM, it'll be bolt on and error code free .
Back in the days (about 10 years ago), the Mopar injection kit used to retail for 1,400 US$ ... Now, because it's rarer it retails for 2,700 US$ .

Default Flame Red 2012 coming soon I hope :)

Howdy,
After having some really bad experiences at Stevens Creek and Normandin Jeep in here in the bay area(scared me off 2 years in a row) I decided to check out Walnut Creek Jeep. Just wanted to give them a shout out for being extremely helpful and efficient with my first Jeep. JJ and Steve were great. Just sold my Hyundai Sonata... driving my wife nuts looking at millions of mod choices. Flame Red is really going to stand out.

Multi-Air does look like a promising upgrade to an already great engine. In that same article it says:

"Fiat's claims for the benefits of MultiAir -- power increased 10 percent, low-end torque improved by 15 percent, fuel consumption reduced 10 percent (in both naturally aspirated and turbo flavors) -- seem to be delivered in the real world."

That could translate to roughly 310 hp, 300 lb-ft torgue, and 18/23.

When is the cut-off date for ordering Sahara Tan anyway?
I don't think anyone's got the exact date. However, they are only making them the first month of production. So let's assume that's August 14th since they started July 14th. I've already seen people with what look like build dates in early August. So, I'd say time is almost up for Sahara Tan and Natural Green. Unless of course they extend the time.. But this is of course all guess work.
