A " fair profit " isn't where you take some of the dealers hold back money. Don't complain if your used JK drops in value because every dealership is whoring them out.

You are probably the same guy that brags to his friends on how much he beat up his local salesman and got hit Jeep for less then invoice and how much he spent on his home. We all know how that story unfolded didn't we?

This whole world is going to hell in a hand basket.
Wow. Are you bitter with the profession you have chosen? It seems that you hate your clients? That must make you an excellent salesman.

I got 2% below invoice and did not take a penny of the holdback, or were you unable to read that? And I barely had to negotiate to get it. Chrysler is already OPENLY offering EVERYBODY a way to buy under invoice.

The dealership is making money and Chrysler is making money. And no I don't brag to my friends about beating up the local salesman. You obviously didn't read half of what I wrote. I don't talk about how much I spent on my home or how much I make. I'm not here to brag about the deal I got. I'm here to inform others that you can get a deal below invoice while the dealer makes their ENTIRE holdback. Everybody wins, but for you that is not enough? Well then that's your problem.

My dealer will get $1000 for what he's selling me, and it took them no effort whatsoever. I walked in on day 1 of 2012 ordering, informed him, since he didn't know, that ordering was open, went through the screens with him and had a JK ordered in 10 minutes. The effort on the sale was non-existent for the salesman. And not only did he get my sale, I told numerous people to go to him. he probably booked 3-4 others, makes $1000 a piece for the business to spend on cost and to take a profit. Oh, and he'll be getting my service work too.

I traded in an old Jeep GC and barely haggled, it's listed for double what he gave me and I'm not upset in the least. Because I know he had to put some work into and he is taking on the risk of holding it in inventory.

So don't pretend you even have the faintest clue what I'm like, cause you don't know a damn thing about me.

This whole discussion makes me wonder why car salesmen have such a bad reputation.

Anyway, I'm getting my JK at a price I'm comfortable with. My dealership will make some money on it, not a ton, like they would on someone willing to MSRP or just below, but a nice amount for the little time and effort they spent on me. And I'm certain we'll all be happy. Except for you that is.

A dealer gave you 2% below invoice without you saying anything? You're a terrible customer! You're going to end up shutting him down.

Sorry,,, didn't realize you have been doing sales for 10 years,,, I'll take my 32 years of sales experience right out of this debate and not dampen the spirits of this thread. Because I sure can't figure out how the way I do biz has allowed my sales to be up 9.5% so far over last year with the poor nation being in such bad shape. Hmmmm,,, maybe it's because I understand the market and don't show every other customer to the front door,,, oh but I only have a average of 1200 PAYING customers a day,, hell I don't think I could show that many people the door
And by the way,, I won't be bothering my dealer with a trade,, it will be a cash deal,, I will get rid of my own used jeep.
OK,,, I'm done on this topic,, sorry it ruffled your, I better get to work and make sure the popcorn is fresh for my 1st customer of the day.

Back to 2012!!

BTW I ordered 2 Rubicons at 2% under invoice via the TL program...I think's it's a very fair deal for everyone. If not for Jk-forum I would have had no clue that this was even possible.

Awesome! I can only hope my tracking status changes as the line begins to roll. Technology is wonderful.
