And again, this has nothing to do with the upgrades made for the 2012 year model. I'm still waiting to hear about all the quirks the 2012s are having related to the changes.

It does seem like the new interior introduced on the 2011 has at least gotten more people to consider a JK for the first time. The engine and transmission also help, along with all the press for the 2012. My dad was looking at a 2012 but decided not to buy because the interior doesn't seem as "authentic" as my 2009. Ha! Guess that's grass-is-greener syndrome looking out of his WJ.

I read somewhere that 2013 model year Wranglers were going to get chassis improvements. The article was a discussion with a Chrysler person and the basic theme was 2011 (2010?) gave interior upgrades, 2012 was the new motor and 2013 was going to be the chassis. There was no mention specifically what kind of chassis upgrades were planned but the engineers were moving to that area since they had taken care of other stuff.
I might have read it on Autoblog or Jalopnik. I can't remember where, exactly.

My only complaint so far with my 12 Rubi is the nozzle for the windshield washer. What a piece of shit. Apparently this is carried over from previous years though. 2013 will be the 10th Anniversary of the Rubicon, so I could see possible chassis changes in line with that.

My JK has been flawless, but I'll be upgrading to a '12 for the changes listed. Granted, the interior is more car-like(girly), but I'll live with it for a better running, more comfortable Jeep.
A little less elitist judgement on your part would be welcomed. If it's a "man's' Jeep you seek, build an early CJ and wheel with men, otherwise, make your payments and enjoy your air conditioning........and drop the flaming of people who weren't "lucky" enough to get an "early" JK like you were.
My point has always been no matter what year you get you will have issues but waiting out the 1st production run will help improve your chances of Crapsler fixing some of the bugs. It worked for me 08 51k , no issues.
This is my "man's jeep" it only rolls out in early summer, its a bitch to drive. Lol. My 08 to me is a little soft for me also thats why the 12s bring on my ire.
