There was no mention specifically what kind of chassis upgrades were planned but the engineers were moving to that area since they had taken care of other stuff.

I might have read it on Autoblog or Jalopnik. I can't remember where, exactly.
Not sure what else as of just yet, but I can tell you that the front axle has new axle shafts, that are crazy beefy. They look better than any of the U joint style aftermarket shafts.

i spoke to AEV a few days ago and they are using the stock 5 speed in their new swap.

All the 2012 head issues didn't scare me from getting a '13
I've owned my 2012 for 16 months now with ZERO issues. In fact I wheel with several 2012s and none have had cylinder head issues, one guy even owns two of them. Check out my YouTube channel to see them in action: https://www.youtube.com/user/megalifted

You will find owners having issues with any make or model. That's what message boards bring out and why all vehicles come with a manufacture's warranty to cover defects. The defect with the cylinder head is not isolated to the JK and does not effect every Pentastar equipped vehicle.

If waiting until the 2013 model year made you happy, great! But I've been enjoying mine trouble free for the past 16 months as many others have.

Yup, I replaced my track arm and bolts at 1400 miles. The factory sleeve on the frame side had cracked. Went 9/16's all the way around while I was at it.

The sleeve that the frame side bolt goes through. Those sleeves are REALLY thin at the flange. Maybe the factory over torqued it. I doubt the sleeve holds one ounce more than 125ftlbs. The flange cracked and allowed the sleeve to go into the frame bolt whole and start to wallow out the hole.

^^^this is the good side of that sleeve next to the JKS. Note that the half metal you see on the factory sleeve is a flange and does not continue through the whole bushing. The JKS sleeve doesn't have a flange, I'd say it's four times thicker than stock. It was a good piece of mind upgrade.
