Talking Stoooooopid!!!

We have one thing in our favor- dealers are usually the last to know anything.

Someone made a power top mod for the TJ. I did a quick search but didn't find it.

Anyway, these rumors and speculation will soon be at an end for the JK Forum community.

The automatic top would probably take longer to operate than doing it by hand- how would the windows fit in to it???

If anything like this did become a reality, however, all you would need to do is get the hard top, and then buy an aftermarket softy like the trek top.

I think it was the Mt. Dew concept TJ that has panels like you are talking about. This may be a reality someday, as it has come up in Jeep circles many times...

I agree that dealers are full of BS, but I wouldn't see this as totally far fetched. I thought I saw an aftermarket one for TJs in the jcwhitney catalog one time.

It's definitely not something I would see myself needing, as it takes me less than two minutes to put up or down my top.... but, with that said, there was a time when Jeep owners would look at you like you were crazy if you mentioned power locks or... gasp... an electronic swaybar disco!

nice and handy... one more step towards removing 4wd option and permanently converting the JEEP into a "convenient" car

and GA has a "law" that initiated a fine and/or arrest for picking up day laborers... all talk... bunch of junk.... no enforcement.

Coming from a newer Jeep owner (little over a year) I can honestly say that I WOULD consider an auto top for a 4 door. I was not able to master putting the top all the way down by myself last summer. I know how to do it but I always had my wife on one side for the final lowering. The sun rider of course is cake and maybe this summer I'll get it but my first summer with it I was wishing for an easier option.

While this may be BS from the dealer...how many long term Jeepers said the same about 4 door wranglers? (...and still don't want to admit it)
