Default I actually counted on the way home today!!

12 for 12 what a good day. On my way home I passed

1-YJ WAVE
8-TJ WAVES FROM ALL
3-JK (1-2dr/2-Unl) WAVES FROM ALL!

SHOCKING! I like living in Jeepland!! I think I get more waves doorless and topless!

I notice it more regionally rather than by model. People in Philly (the city, not the 'burbs) don't wave. If I'm back in MD, I get waves from all.

I get waves from JKs both 2 and 4 door. JK owners seem real eager to wave. Other models wave too and there are a few heavily modified Jeeps in the area. I used to get waves when I had my KJ.

Jeff, you gotta come up my way more often. We are friendlier.

the yuppies. be it in a YJ, JK, or TJ. Be it male or female....althought male yuppies in my opinion are just about the same as a female. damn yuppies, get on my nerves. Never see any in CJ's, few in YJ's. They aren't "sophisticated" enough I reckon. oh well.

I got a two year old and I got him trained too... he now says "Daddy Jeep" when he sees a Jeep, including mine. Unfortunately, he also says that when he sees a Samurai / Tracker, so gotta work on that.

Regarding the wave, I have a stock JK Unlimited Sahara (hey used to have a TJ as well so I know the drill), and I'd say it's about 50% for wave / don't wave, no matter what type of Jeep. I do think that the drivers of older / more hardcore Jeeps (lifted YJs especially) wave the least.

I do live near an "upscale suburb" so I think it's more "don't know" rather than "hater / jealous of the 4dr". Anyway, I still wave, and if someone doesn't / won't wave back, then it's their problem. I'm still carrying on the tradition.

I do the same thing! So I decided to try and start a "silver dodge ram" wave.... that went over like a lead balloon... only two people continue to wave... and I know them... and one of them isnt waving anymore.. I think there is a moral here somewhere

But I have noticed that when my fiance is driving, she almost never gets snubbed, but I get snubbed alot. I guess even if the other person doesn't know the "jeep wave", they still know the "cute girl waving at me" wave

What's a yuppie?

There are way more TJ's on the road, many of which do not wave. I'd say most that don't wave are female or stock and/or non enthusiasts.

I've missed the wave from a couple of JK unlimiteds, but there just aren't that many on the road. That's why I voted for the TJ.

If a TJ is modified, they usually wave. A lot of the CJ owners that have never wheeled with a Jk do not respect it. Sometimes those guys do not wave either.

For all of you that voted unlimited, is it b/c of the soccer mom stigma or because 100% of the TJ's wave in your area?

Entered a parking lot last Wednesday at a local playground with my family that was filled with Jeeps. Turns out it was a Jeep meeting ground during the warmer months. Thought I made a mistake, because did we ever get glares or else totally ignored. My wife said these don't seem like the friendly Jeep type we were accustomed to. Every one of the Jeeps was modded, so the kids and I had fun checking them all out. Did anyone of them introduce themselves? Noooo. They were all huddled in different groups, so I picked the friendliest bunch and approached them. I got the cold shoulder at first, but then they opened up after talking to them for a bit.
Not really a wave violation, but it does show how some react to JK's.
Since then, I've had the top down with the front 2 doors off. I've run into quite a few Jeeps over the last week and a half. We've had beautiful weather. Every one of them has given the wave. Some even as enthusiastic as mine.
