one sky high YJ that looked like it was gonna tip over going straight, he looked, shook his head and rolled his eyes... (we passed each other at about 5 mph at a red light)

What an ass! Corvette's- Doesn't matter the year they wave.
Motor cycles-Doesn't matter year or make, they wave.
even Harley's wave at the rice rockets!

In my own experience, the following three categories are responsible for 95+% of the no-wave situations I've had... these are the biggest offenders I've encountered, BY FAR.

1) Yuppies (yes, they still exist - especially in my affluent town); usually spotted driving an Unlimited (which is not to say that ALL Unlimited drivers are yuppies).

2) Women - some know about the wave, but about 3/5 of them don't seem to...

3) High School Kids / Younger Jeepers - not sure if it's that they don't know about the wave, or are "too cool" to return it...

IF YOU'RE DRIVING A WRANGER AND SEE ANOTHER OCCUPIED WRANGLER, WAVE TO IT. IF YOU VIOLATE THIS RULE, THE OTHER WRANGLER HAS EVERY RIGHT TO RUN YOU OFF THE ROAD!

Spent parts of the past 2 weeks on Cape Cod. Unlike my prior experiences in CT, NY, NJ & RI, the Cape is not a waving place. Maybe it is too many Jeeps? Wave burnout? We averaged maybe 20% return, spread over all models/years. The worst offenders seemed to be TJs and heavy modded of all types. Did get a standup bikini clad wave from three hotties in an old CJ on the way home from the beach yesterday. Talk about custom bumpers!!!

And I know - this thread is worthless without pictures...

Some people believe that if you haven't lifted your jeep, have off-road tires and have at least 3 aux. lights, than you just aren't driving a "REAL" JEEP and don't deserve a wave. ARROGANCE!!!!!

These people deserve to lose anything that has the word JEEP on it!

A common saying is "its your jeep-do what you like to it". I believe that also includes doing nothing at all if that is what you want.

To me the biggest violtors are those people that think what a "JEEP THING" has to be and decide who does and doesn't deserve a wave.

EVERYBODY gets a wave (and a smile).

I think I`ll get a big windshield sticker that says...MY OTHER CAR IS A HIGHLY MODIFIED TJ,AND BEFORE THAT IT WAS A HIGHLY MODIFIED YJ, cuz I certainly got more waves then than I do now fairly stock. Sadly,The average person can only read 7 words in passing!

When I had my CJ and my TJ, both of which were modified, I seemed to get waves all the time. With the JK, which is stock, I very seldom get waves. I have the feeling a lot of people don't consider the JK a "real" Jeep yet.

That is exactly the look I got from the lifted YJ!! maybe even add "you must be joking" to it. It made me wanna wrap his "double tube" bumpers around his head!! yeah I know, I'll be starting a "jeep wave snub/road rage" support group
