I think i broke someones cherry. :P

I was driving around local streets and i saw this green unlimited JK. I gave him the casual lift hand above steeringwheel wave and he slows to almost a complete stop, waves at me, opens his window and yells out something like woohoo! and drives off. he then sticks his arm out of the window and raises it very high and waves like hes having a convulsion for a few seconds as he speeds away.. I guess you never forget your first :P

 

honestly, i do not enjoy the wave but i do it because others wave at me. thats just my personality. i would rather talk to someone in a parking lot about their jeep than wave.

i will say that i think many TJs do not wave. i've had a few give me scowls. i think it has something to do with the fact that the JK has replaced them. i mean, i would be a little apprehensive had i bought an 06 TJ and then these new, cooler JKs are on the street now. again, that's just my personality.

 

Not exactly a wave, but a girl in a Compass rolled her window down and a light and said (with no context), "Does it go back half way? Because I had a TJ and that's how I drove it." I said, "Sure, but it makes more noise that way." She said "Thanks, see ya," and we drove away from the light.

 

I have been noticing that I am about 60/40 on receiving the waves, especially with the 4 door JK's. This may have been said however, I think that the 4 door has attracted new Jeep owners that had not considered owning one before. They are either uneducated (I was) or in their own zone and don't pay attention. There could be a third option since I live in one of the most affluent parts of town.

I try to wave at all of the Jeeps although I have to admit I have missed a few. Sorry guys!
