Biggest violators of the wave???
There's a fella who owns a slightly modded TJ who lives in the same area of town as I. When I'm in the wife's Liberty he waves everytime. When I'm in my 4 door JK he hasn't waved once. I don't think he realizes it is the same guy...
OK, so I was hasty. I'm still waiving, but no luck yet. I am starting to think there may be a little jealousy involved.
Really, waive or flip me off, all the same to me, 'cause I love this Jeep!!! I don't care what you drive or what year, but I sure do hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as I do mine. Let the other guys figure out what a "Real Jeep" is, I'm going for a drive.

Waves are 50/50 with me. The ladies seem to wave (TJ's, YJ's) and most dudes do...and then some don't know why I'm waving
. Fellow JK's seem to always wave. Then I came across my JK's doppleganger (lights and color, but YJ) and got screams and peace signs!

After having our JK only 3 weeks now, my wife made a comment yesterday. She said I haven't had a female initiate a wave. No sooner had she said this, I saw a modded Jeep coming our way. Before I could stick my hand out, the female driver stuck her arm out with an open hand and a smile. I just looked at my wife and smiled, and she smiled back.
I just bought my JK about a week ago. It's my first jeep, but I knew about the wave because I had been reading these forums for a few weeks before I found the jeep I wanted.
I was a little apprehensive at first about waving to people, because I was afraid that they wouldn't wave back. However, the other night passing by my first Jeep an man driving a TJ waved to me - I was a little shocked and my wave was delayed a bit; I hope he saw me
Today we finally got a nice whole day of no rain, so I took the top down and the doors off. Passed, I think, five jeeps today and all but one waved. Three were TJ's and two JK's - one of the JK's even beeped and waved
There is one girl I keep seeing driving a TJ who I've passed twice this past week who hasn't waved or even looked at my JK, my guess is that she doesn't know the wave exists, or just doesn't like the JK :(
I find myself constantly looking out for other Jeeps now, being ready to wave at any that pass.

Congrates on your new jeep! I'm glad to see that you are waving. JK's as I have already stated several times are the new kid on the block. The more we wave the more other jeeps (flat fenders,CJ 's, and wranglers) will wave back. They will accept the JK once they see how good it does off road. Be patient, they will come around. Remember some of those that don't wave, may not know about the jeep wave yet. Just keep waving, they will figure it out someday. Just don't hold it against them. I've been waving sense I owned my first CJ and sometimes you just don't get a wave. Who knows why. It just happens. But for me, I will keep waving.
Just got back from a weekend at the beach (Bethany Beach, DE). If you want to have your faith in the wave questioned, head there for a day or two. I saw every kind of Jeep imaginable (even saw an old Willys
while walking through town one evening). When driving around, I didn't get one single wave returned:confused:.

Haven gotten dirty this weekend, i've noticed that almost every older jeep i pass now waves as aposed to a week ago when it looked shinny and brand new. Amazing how a little dirt suddenly makes you part of the "club" but despite the dirt, other JK's are still the ones that hardly ever wave... damn stuckup sahara mall roamers...
(no offence to everyone here that has a sahara and really takes it off road).
