Do you have to pay to have someone install the blow and go on the jeep or do they let you do it?

I would be like that dudes tool belt, right on his side. Cutting wires and tearing into shit would be almost too much.

No offense but you interjected your opinion on it being a "cash grab" to begin with, what did you expect?

As for your question, yeah these things install/uninstall in pretty much any vehicle without issues.

Officially it will cost more than it states on the website once it is all said and done because of tax and some hidden fees like insurance if the unit is damaged or stolen. They new units are wireless but the brain box is still hardwired into your vehicle. It shouldn't effect your vehicle after install, but it has some and that is why I bought a 500 dollar car so they didn't mess with my brand new truck.

Closer to $5000 total, not 4.

It's your flippant attitude toward the subject and the way you worded your initial post that made me and others respond with their 2 cents about drinking and driving. Your drunk friend could have called a TAXI to get home and you wouldn't have been in this predicament. I hope the ignition interlock device costs you a huge amount of money and inconvenience, that way you think about your actions in the future. I have been in law enforcement for over 19 years and have seen the results of people drinking and driving, in money, blood, and lost lives. Hopefully you learn from the experience, but from this quote, looks like you haven't thought of the seriousness and are blaming everyone but yourself.

I have to agree with the guys coming down hard on you..... You know at 140 lbs your body won't hold alcohol like someone who weighs 200 lbs so it's your own fault!!! And your comment on maybe a second offence. Gee GET REAL .... you could have killed somebodys loved one the 1st time. I think the penalties should be harsher.... Consider yourself lucky.
Don't tell me cause your only a-buck-forty your brain is also smaller then a
200 pounder...

I work with people in wheelchairs some of their lives ruined and changed forever cause of drunk drivers.... They'd be more then glad to dish out $5000 and get their lives back.

Its called an interlock system... I know there are two sides to every story and I'm only hearing one side but typically the police don't arrest sober drivers and if they did judges wouldn't order interlocks to be installed they would dismiss the case.

Almost every one of the 2-3 DUI's a weekend I caught while on patrol only had "2 beers". It's the most common answer when you ask a drunk driver.

I see this everytime a unit comes back from a deployment. We spend 6-15 months in the middle east and a dumbass comes home and either kills him/herself or some innocent person on the road.. The 2 beers thing is a bit ridiculous IMO. Did you think the outcome of this thread would be a fairy tale ending with a sympathy card???

The shitty part is BC switched the alcohol level from 0.08 to 0.05! So yeah 1 beer can put you over the limit and charged with a DUI. Also, if you are nailed going over 40km/hr over the speed limit in BC you get your vehicle towed and impounded on the spot and a $376 fine! Somethings to think about when you are in traveling in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada!
