The cs I spoke to called my dealer to find out what he knew and he said he was going to meet with his rep the first week in December to see why it had not been scheduled yet. The cs went on to try and explain that Jeep is a victom of there own success at this point and is having touble keeping up with demand. I can understand all of that, but they should be able to be honest and give us a solid estimate of delivery. If they are getting (x) amount of orders per day and they are only able to build (Y) per day they should be able to give an accurate estimate when they will be able to get to each order. I am a contractor and I can not get away with telling people I will start there job in 4 weeks and not show up and tell them maybe in another 4 weeks and so on and so on. I am also holding money in reserve to pay for this thing and there are better places to park my money if I no its not coming in for anther 3,4,5 months. Ok i'am done , just my 2 cents.
You are absolutely right about this. The problem is that the salesperson, who wants a sale, is telling you what you want to hear which obiously is different from the truth. I was told 4-6 weeks for my order on a Sahara on Sept 12. That was 9 weeks ago and I am still in BX.

I know that they have capacity to make 583 a day and are/were getting over 1,000 orders daily. If this is the case, there should not be any on dealer lots. They should take a month and catch up with all of the sold orders. It would boost their end of the year numbers and make dealers and cusomers both happy.

In a perfect world, DC would do a match to orders and inventory and try to help facilitate dealer trades to catch up.

Who are we to have any opinions though... we are just the payng customers.

Thank you. Unfortunately I'm behind a rock and a hard place. I really
would like to own the vehicle I ordered 3 months ago, but I have to buy
a vehicle by the end of December due to taxes and my present lease being
up. Without a rough timeline I do not know what to do. I have been told
by the dealer rep that it could be as late as a 2009 model year (Meaning
July of 08) and for sure I wouldn't see it until February at the
earliest. How does he know it will take another 3 months and I cannot
get anyone to give me more information. My dealership and my salesman
have told me they have pretty much done all they can do. All I really
want to know if I will have a Vin# before January 1st.

Thank you for all of your help and I'm sure, I'm not the only one
bugging you so once again thank you for giving me the little time I'm
sure you have.

My dealer did a search for mine since it is taking forever also. They found the exact Jeep I ordered in another state except they wanted $2k above MSRP. Needless to say I'm still waiting on my X.

Default Feb or March

Just went down to dealer this afternoon. Ordered a 4dr Rubi on Oct. 4. He said he will have allocation by the end of Dec. And that I should expect delivery February or March.

Thank god I still have my 2000 TJ to cruise around in until that time.

Wow, your Rubi sounds almost exactly like my order.
Man am I gonna be bummed if the wait is still pushing 6 months. It may be worth it in the end to have exactly what you ordered built for you... but that's a heck of alot of lost wheeling time.

The woman I spoke to emphasized "ESTIMATED ship date" also. She gave me the same ship date as yours too.
