Check the Status of your Jeep JK Wrangler - Order Status Codes
If you've got a JK on order and want to know what the status of it is, here's what you need to do.
If you have a VIN or a VON off your order sheet (which you wouldn't unless your order was in "D" status), you can call 1-800-992-1997. Follow the prompts, stay on the line for an operator, and they can look it up for you.

when I call this 800 number, I get this message saying to call 101515800 and it will be $4.52. Is this correct?

Amen. I'm at work today, so and email and phone call did the trick. Now I'm getting a different story. JS since 1/9/8. The dealer states they have called for the shipment and that the carrier has cancelled shipment to the dealer on 1/10 and again on 1/19 for reasons unknown. Now that I've called, I'm sure there will be a miracle and the ruby will ship out tomorrow. If not, I'm headed to the dealership and setting up a 3-way call with the dealer, CCC and myself.
Here's my new question for anyone out there paying attention. Anyone else's order held at the moment? Classified as a "carrier hold" for quality control inspection.
I've dealt with this dealer for three vehicle purchases and they've always been easy to deal with and honest. But...you never know.
expecting release and pending shipment, hell, who here isn't?

Dood, there are better options. The MyGig is pretty pricey for what you get.
Have you considered a Pioneer head unit like the Pioneer AVIC-Z2 or the lesser AVIC-D3. Far more options and flexibility there. But yah, it's up to you...
Yea I actually have put quite some time into the mygig decision. I agree that going with the aftermarket unit has more features, but I plan on getting the lifetime bumper/bumper warranty so it makes it easier to just go with the mygig and have it warrantied for life.
Ok, just got off the phone with Chrysler...I'm still in BG status but the rep contacted my dealership while I was on hold, and gave them a "file" which they can use to help speed up the proccess. Has anyone ever heard of this? And does this acutually work?
I was told the same thing last week.
"Your status hasn't changed since you placed the order"
Asked what dealership I was using, who I was dealing with, then put me on hold to "call them" and let the management know that nothing had changed.
As of this week I went back to BG.
May be too soon to tell, but I don't think it'll help much.
