My Jeep finaly showed up at the dealer yesterday. It has been MIA since the 21st of December. I have to say, the hardest part of the wait has been the last 12 days or so. On the 18th, out of nowhere I jumped from D status to Frame and it was build on the 18th. The holidays must have slowed my delivery as I am only about 90 miles from the factory, either that or I was the last delivery on the truck. Anyways, the dealer got it too late in the day on Monday to prep it so I will get it on Wednesday. My salesman called me on his drive home yesterday just to et me know. I think I might have to drive over to the dealer today just to take a look.

Looking back, my timeline has been very reasonable compared to others on this board. My only advice to all of you waiting is to make sure your dealer has allocation available when you order. I think there are a lot of dealers that either don't understand the process or they are knowingly taking orders they can't fulfill in a timely fashion.

I ordered my JK 2 weeks ago the dealer was honest and said he had no idea how long it would take. But after reading these threads it looks like I may be jeepless for a while. Oh well, what was it Mama used to say "Good things come to those who wait" I've gone a year without a jeep now and I've always had one since 1981 so a few more months won't kill, me as long as I have it by next hunting season.

What status is required to get a VIN #?

I GOT a VIN #....a month ago?

I'm still B something though as far as I know.....

Any set point they need to reach to issue a VIN?

Oh, yeah, the VIN ends in L 577458

T meant Toledo in the 2007 VIN sequence....where the Hell is L?



And does the last few digits indicate the order its built in...like I'm right after 577457?

And they're building like 560 wrangers a day...so if I know what number they're up to...I can guess a build date?

I did not get my VIN until I hit D status. A few days later I was in D-1.

I would think that it opens today, as AZZ Limited Unlimited Group has a Job #1 of 1/2/08 (JK*J74).

Does anyone know what JK*J74 is or the AZZ group is.
