Chrysler Recalls 300K Wranglers for Brake Fiuld Leak
I was installing my lift over the weekend and noticed that the left front inner fender liner had indeed rubbed a flat spot on the rear brake line that is routed on the frame at that location.
I slit a 3" long piece of 1/4" fuel line and put it over the brake line so it would not get worse.
I called the dealer this morning and got the same "that is just a newspaper story" "there is no Brake line recall for your vehicle".
I called Chrysler and got the same from the guy on the phone. "If you are worried about it you should pay to have it inspected and repaired if needed and if there is a recall you will be reimbersed for the expense."
I asked to have it escalated. Someone is supposed to call, we'll see.
Taking it in and paying for it may actually be the best option. I predict a nationwide back order for that section of steel brake line shortly.

I brought in my 2010 Jeep Wrangler to my dealer for an oil change and I asked them about recall, they dint seem to know anything. I asked them to check and they said there is no recall. Is this recall universal for all 2010 Wrangler or just for some as I don't get any letter from Chrysler either. Is there any way to find out?
