Never owned a Jeep, had no idea how much fun I was missing.

7th Jeep....2012 Sport Unlimited
I traded in my 2009 2dr Rubicon for this one. I just wanted more space with the 4dr and the new engine. This weekend the bumper and winch go on!!! So far I've got the AEV 4.5" Dualsport lift, 37" MTR Kevs, Elka Remote Res Shocks, 5.13 gears and the front axle has been made much stronger with chromoly axle shafts, 1/4" chromoly axle sleeves and the Teraflex C-gussets. Rear locker is next in line after the bumper/winch go on. Love my 2012!!!!

I was looking at those too... now that I've seen them on an actual vehicle I like them even more. Hey... reasonable (or cheap) is good for me too... leaves more green stamps in other areas to upgrade!

I bought my 2012 in November last year. I did not want ot order one, so I scoured all the dealer sites until I found the perfect match 200 miles away. It has 8500 miles on it so far. I only live 2 miles from work and it is my daily driver. I love driving it. I can not believe how good the infinity sound system is. I often use it for my garage radio. I have not done many mods yet. Just little stuff like the integrated garage door opener in the pillar, Iggy cover for the back seat (kids), and seat heaters for the front.
My favorite mod so far though is the Racor garage lift. I bought it from Amazon on sale for about $100 delivered. I back under it with my top all unscrewed, adn unplugged. I hook my drill up to the lift with the included drill attachement, adn in 30 seconds or so, My top lifts right off. I dont need any help. It is sweet. There is room on the lift for my t tops too. I probably could get my doors up ther, but I have garage wall space so I put up hangers and they are stored under my peg board wall with all my tools.
I have to say asa first time Jeep owner, my JKU is the nicest riding vehicle I hav eever owned. We took a long trip in our other car ( wont name it here but it may or may not be a toyota hybrid) Then the following weekend we took the Jeep because well, my wife took the other car 4 wheeling in a friends driveway, and tore off the plastic air dam and fender liner, which all holds the front bumper in place. This made the Pr... Uhm other car undriveable until I ordered parts. Anyway after the second trip in the jeep, My wife does not want to take the 50 MPG car on any more trips.
Hopefully she just remembers the Jeep is MINE!!
