This is a case of two people who both have small johnsons meeting each other.
There must be NO REAL CRIME around there. The kicker is that the cop doesn't understand the code. Read it again, it clearly states "...It shall be lawful to equip any other vehicle with a similar warning light including, but not by way of limitation..."
I for one would let you keep the lights. Lights and bling like that make it easier to recognize the morons.
I'm glad I live in a city where the cops are too busy fighting real crime to bother with chickensh@# like this.

I dont see what he did wrong did you a favor those are fukn nasty why would you have those on?? If you lived in jersey you would have had the damn swat team come after you in those on first 5 miles.

Hope the judge is not a die hard Jeeper. He'll look at those lights and put you in a dark cell with Bubba.
Take them off. Tell the procecutor that the cop must have been halucinating from smell of the Dunkin Donut box you had on the seat next to you.
Boston Creme makes them see little sparkly lights.

Around here the cops are not making money. It costs a lot of money to maintain the vehicles, keep the jail, insurance, etc... I know when I lived in Montana the Hells Angels came twice and each time it cost about $150,000 for the one week. It has gotten so expensive to have police that I know some areas are actually adding a fuel surcharge onto any moving violations they give out since most budgets are created 2 years in advance.

Maybe in FL... But radar is alive and well in TX. They do use laser here, but Laser requires them to be sitting still. While radar allows them to travel around. 
So there are a lot more cops running around with radar. And only occasionally so you see an actual laser trap set up.
