how to keep cats out when doorless??
You must not have read this thread thoroughly. I do not have a problem with the cat hair or any type of dirt or mess in the Jeep. I DO have an issue with the cats spraying my jeep. This happens EVERY night that the Jeep is not covered in some way. Driver side floor board, passenger floor board, driver and passenger seat bottoms and backs, rear bench seat back, the back of the front seats(how is that even possible) and of course the rear floor boards. For anyone who has experienced this, this is a TERRIBLE odor that is very difficult to get rid of. Luckily, I always have my drain plugs out and I live in AZ so I can easily spray out the interior with a high pressure washer and iit'll dry in the course of the day, but I get tired of doing that EVERY day. Its most agravating when there is cat piss on the driver seat, resulting in you smelling like cat piss for the entirety of the day. IT just drives me nuts... I might have to try to high pitched sound thing though...
Pissing would be piss me off too, no pun intended
. No I get your point on the cats pissing in your jeep as being real bad, I saw a few people complaining about hair in the jeep and that sort of set me off as being ridiculous but urine is def a different story. Try citrus sprays, most cats hate the smell of citrus. If they make a citrus febreeze I would start there.
but the doublesided tape suggestions put forth several times should definitely do the trick.
also, at the pet store, they have something called "sticky-sticks" - sticky on both sides, you lay them down, cat's HATE things stickign to their paws.
Leave em there each night for a few nights, they will go away - that's how I trained my cats to stay off the counter tops and out of the potted plants...

Does anyone have any more experience with the high frequency deterents? That may be the only thing short of physical harm that I haven't tried.
I put a bunch of tape down 3 days in a row. Came back everytime to find a ball of tape and cat hair, and it still kept coming back.
I bought some pee deterent, but I was using a good quarter bottle to keep them out and by about the third day, I was still getting pee.
Any other ideas?
Then maybe cats should not be pets if you cant keep them indoors, ever think of that? I dont bring in the friggin racoon from outside and heve it sleepin in my bed...If the cats dont want to be inside, dont you think its cruel to try and make a pet out of em??
Cats suck...
Cats suck...
Dang you guys put up with a lot. I'm not a cat person, but I highly disapprove of outdoor cats damaging my stuff. I will certainly take care of the offender!
