Jeep - make an actual pick-up
#22
1. Install Driver Compartment Bulkhead
With Isolated Truck Bed
The reason is that the Air Conditioner won't cool the entire cab and bed area.
2. Move The Rear Axle 5" Back
With Coil Spring Link System and sway bar
With tire placement for approach and departing angle.
3. Extend Truck Bed
To The End Of Hitch
A useful truck bed.
This Little J-8 would be fine with a removable hard top

I'm not a big fan of the jk8/gladiator. It's a wrangler. I want a truck. This "truck" pictured has been available from AEV for a little while now. But I'm not looking to go buy another $35k wrangler, then drop another 15k to "convert" it. If if I'm spending 30k+, I'm buying a truck. I just hope its a jeep. The nimrods at Chrysler like to toy with us, and show us what we want, but never follow through. I'll require a truck by fall of next year, and if there isn't a real truck by jeep, then my money goes to Ford. It's there for Chrysler, (my money), but I'm done begging.

Guys, there are other threads for those who want a converted JKU.
This thread is a chance to show Jeep that we want a true truck that is Jeep first:
- truly off road capable with ease of modification.
We want a real truck. Throw in common powertrains, suspensions, and grill....but make it a true pick-up.
Not a converted JKU

Oh, and the 4BT is not a livable engine. It's load. It's raw. It's dirty.
There is a reason why jeep must make the compass. Need the brand MPGs to be in a range for the government. The same holds true for pollution. There will never be a 4BT in a production (non-commercial) truck.

There is absolutely no reason to commission Cummins to do anything. Bring back the 5.9L and you will have your 20 MPG, I don't know the 6.7L but you can easily see 19 - 20+ MPG with the 5.9L Highway and city.. Or just use the Cummins 4BT which has been used for years in delivery trucks.

The Nukizer and the Gladiator will not be built. Ford and Gm stopped building small pickups a long time ago. Why .....They don't sell! Sorry Chrysler but your CEO cant stop staring at his Challanger's and 300's to see the potential of the Jeep line if you started giving the public what it wants HEMI's in JK's!!
