I traded my '08 Sierra for my '12 JKU. Sometimes a truck would be nice and I will probably get another for my next vehicle. For now I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this thing.

Just traded from a Megacab Dodge to a 2014 JKRU and let me tell you, there's days I miss having a truck. Trucks have a lot more room and they have a bed. I love my Jeep but I miss the truck. If I was choosing like you said between a Tacoma or a JKU I would get the Jeep, a Tacoma is too small to be really considered a truck IMO they aren't good for much other than small loads, no real seating, cargo, and tow cap. Go with the Jeep!

I feel your pain trouty33. I also went from my dream super duty to my jeep. But looking back on it, I have no regrets. I've had more fun working on my jeep than I ever had helping people move. The taco is pretty small and you aren't gaining much more hauling capacity over a jeep. And like everyone has said, rent a trailer, or go to harbor freight and pick up one of those folding trailers if you need to hail anything larger. Or do what everyone else that doesn't have a truck does...ask someone with a truck for help.

And, if you off road, you'll prefer the turning radius of a Jeep vs. a truck. Even the JKU turns tighter than most pick ups. I saw a Dodge Dakota trying to negotiate a trail once, even after multiple attempts, there was a section that he couldn't get around. The truck was just too long, which also hinders break over angles as well.

Yeah, I realize that there are trailers that will haul more than what a Tacoma will haul, but isn't the towing capacity of the Jeep pretty limited? Like 3000 lbs or something like that?
