Default JK DD undecided

Hi everyone I just wanted to know how many of yall use your JK as a DD?
I currently have a 02 TJ, locked, 35's, etc. etc. It is my DD. I dont have but a 8.5 mile round trip for work, but I do drive it a round trip of 1100-1500 miles about 3 times a year to go wheeling with my friends in MO at various places. I love driving my TJ around town, but driving it that long its not so great. The wife and I are expecting our first child(Jan. 5th ), and I am having a hard time to decide if I should just buy a tow rig or sell the Jeep and buy a 4dr JK. I am kinda leaning towards selling the TJ and buying the JK but its a hard decision to make. I have had alot of good memories in the TJ but I love the way the 4dr looks, especially when built. Anyone with kids please feel free to chime in. Thank you.

Sorry so long

I have a 4 door and I love it. It is my first Jeep but my opinion, I think it rides great. It is my DD and I do have kids - a 3 year old and 1.5 year old. They love riding in it as much as I do. Go for the JK!!! BTW - I drive about 70 miles round trip to work daily.

My JK is our daily driver. I have the 2.5" Budget Boost and 34's. I drive about 110 miles a day. I have to say that it is incredibly comfortable and a great daily vehicle.

I have two boys, 2 and 4. They love it to no end. We drove 7 hours in it to a Jeep Jamboree this summer. It fit all of our luggage, gear and us with no problem. It was smooth and quiet on the freeway and very comfortable.

We think it is the perfect vehicle for our family. Highly recommended.

My wife uses our 4dr as her DD (about 60 miles total) and she loves it. We also took it on our honeymoon last year to North Carolina. That was about a 9 hour trip and we both thought the JK was really comfortable. I honestly wouldnt mind driving it even further. And even lifted on 35's, the ride is so much better then her old stock TJ.

I have two little ones and that is the reason I went with the 4 door. The only reason I would say not to is because the mods are cheaper for the TJ right now.

I had a tj lifted etc. It was my daily driver and I loved it. For the most part I love my stock JK just as much, if not more. I can't wait until I can afford to build it up.

I have a 1 year old son, a wife, and a dog, I don't think they would have fit too well in my TJ.

Yep.....I have a 2 door and drive a 90 mile round trip for work everyday. I love the way the jk rides...(as much as I want to, I guess that's why I haven't lifted it yet....afraid it may mess that up).

Filled it up tonight........ $79.

Ouch....

I have an '08 Rubicon 4 door. I have been driving it exclusively since I got it in February, even though my other vehicle is an '02 VW Golf TDI which gets 50 mpg. The VW is fun to drive, but there is a draw to the Jeep which I can't resist.
You will like the JK. It's great off road AND on road.
