List your Jeep related pet peeves/rants here.....
When the first thing someone says about the fact that i bought a jeep is "Why wouldn't you buy something with better gas mileage" - I just say "it's a jeep, you don't buy it for the gas mileage"
Some already mentioned...
- Plastic that gets stained by mud, on a vehicle intended to be driven in.. mud
- Rusting hinges
- Rain channels on the Freedom top that channel rain onto your knees
- Side mirrors that are mounted on doors designed to be removed... WTF?
Too many funky colors and I only have a two vehicle garage.
I have black because it cleans up nice.
I really wanted a rescue green, and a mango, and that new Cat color, and my daughter wants the Islander Blue, and.....

The no wave thing really sets me off. Also the non Jeep people driving Jeeps.
So many mods, so little time and money.
The cheap chinese steel poorly built D30 front ends.
and.. X2 on the "Can't stop smiling while driving it"

Okay, it's the opposite of a peeve but I saw this and figured I'd share here instead of starting a new discussion.
I LOVE the Jeep wave!
My 2012 JKU is my first Jeep and I love having this not-so-secret club/organization/culture. Exchanging waves is just a great feeling. It makes my day!
Back to the topic on hand. The mirror thing is annoying. I can get the doors off and on quickly but those 4 bolts for the mirrors drive me crazy.
Also, the soft top door frames scratch so easily. I think I put a nick/scratch/scar in them everytime I put the soft top on/off!
And one more thing (I'm on a roll now!), what's with the folks here who think there should be only one type of Jeep owner? The Jeep is a versatile vehicle. Whether you want to climb rocks or head to the golf course topless and doorless who cares. Enjoy the Jeep for your needs and let the others enjoy it for theirs. There is plenty of room for all sorts of enthusiasts and fans. The world is a more interesting place when we aren't all the same.

Almost everyday I'm confronted with this, but today, today I decided to gripe to all of you.
I spent energy attempting to wave to a woman in her bright yellow RUBICON, complete with big blonde hair, little dog and blue-tooth earpiece, all to have her act as if she didn't see me. Don't get me wrong, I'm blonde most days, have a blue-tooth earpiece (although thanks to top-off and wind noise I've yet to perfect it's use in the Jeep) AND I have a little dog. If I wave at you, you better wave back!
If you spent the money for a RUBICON, it tells me your serious about your Jeep, all I'm asking is...
WAVE!!
just sayin'
