As mentioned, I don't get all the panty bunching over the wave, could care less one way or the other....and the whole "I'm a real Jeep-guy, everyone else is a poseur" thing, childish.

I stopped to look at 2014s today, and could not believe theyre still putting that crappy 1990s double din stereo in these things. Good lord.

Default The Jeep Wave

I'm with you on the Jeep Wave. I'm a former TJ owner and a current 2010 JK Rubicon Unlimited owner. When I bought my first Jeep, the salesman at the dealership told me about the wave. I ride a Harley, so I'm familiar with the wave bikers give each other, so the Jeep Wave is understood.

My husband loved the Jeep (buying) experience at our dealership so much, that after retiring from the police department, he went to work there selling Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Trucks and multi-brand used. He made sure to share the Jeep Wave with everyone in a Wrangler. Whether they were service, sales or parts customers, Jeep people are Jeep people!

As a matter of fact, info on the Jeep Wave was in the 2010 Wrangler Catalog when I bought mine. They since have stopped publishing the Jeep Wave note in their literature. I wonder why?

Rock on and keep on Jeepin'

Thumbs up Seroius!

I'm a former 04 TJ Rocky Mountain Edition owner and a current 10 JK Rubicon Unlimited owner. We loved our buying experience so much, that my husband when he retired from the police department went to work at the dealership selling Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Trucks and used vehicles. He has commented many times on that same subject with people regarding Wranglers, Rams, and Vipers.

Like you said, people don't buy certain vehicles for their fuel economy. Actually, my Rubi is my daily driver and with the 8" of snow we got yesterday and the 12" that are on the way tonight, I might not get great mileage, but I can get where I need to go!

Rock on Jeep people!

Default Some Jeepeople just don't...

I'm with ya on the wave, or in the case of this thread, the lack thereof. Lol! Used to be that the dealerships would tell people who bought Wranglers about the wave. I mentioned in another post on the wave subject, it used to be in the Wrangler catalog as well. Not any more!

If I talk to a Jeep person, at the gas station, deli, work, wherever, I always ask if they know about the Jeep wave. Many do not, but they do by the time we're done comparing Jeeps.

Rock on and keep on Jeepin

I spent energy attempting to wave to a woman in her bright yellow RUBICON, complete with big blonde hair, little dog and blue-tooth earpiece, all to have her act as if she didn't see me. Don't get me wrong, I'm blonde most days, have a blue-tooth earpiece (although thanks to top-off and wind noise I've yet to perfect it's use in the Jeep) AND I have a little dog. If I wave at you, you better wave back!

If you spent the money for a RUBICON, it tells me your serious about your Jeep, all I'm asking is...
WAVE!!

just sayin'

Not sure if this is what you are talking about but I use to get so frustrated with getting my top up and hitting the latches, then I put it on a decline (nose down) and it is much easier. Only problem is if you are putting your doors on at the same time....hold on to them or you will get the cowl dimples.

I travel by airline frequently for work. My pet peeve is finding a great place to wheel when my jeep is at home in the garage.
