Love it...? or Hate it...?
Well...I was totaly expecting a split, maybe 80% happy/20% upset. So far only 1 person has truly disliked the JK, but he is a previous Jeep owner and is ready to buy an LJ. Originally I had found an '06 Rubicon that I was on my way to buy, and thought I would try the JK first, just to be "Sure". I drove the JK and liked it more than I expected. Because of the overwhelming positive responses, I am 98% sure that I will be buying a 2009 Deep water Blue Rubicon. Thanks!
If I had known all the issues I would have before I bought it then I would be driving a '06 TJ instead. If the dealer was able to fix my problems or Jeep corporate would help then I may feel differently.
i don't even understand how someone might want a wrangler.
yes, there are minor quirks here & there and if you are not prepared to deal with them, then buy something else.
i can't even imagine saying, "i'm in between a wrangler and vehicle X."
i feel that you either definitely want one or you definitely don't.

There are two types of people in this world.......
Wrangler owners...... and...... people that don't own a wrangler.
It's your choice which one you want to be.

I thoroughly enjoy mine. Funny thing is that it never amazes me how many comments I get about it. I have someone ask me about it at a stop light at least once a week. Of course, the fact that I never have uppers on my doors makes it a little easier to ask my opinion.
The JK really fits my personality well, though... It may leak in a really heavy rain if I don't get the top on squarely, but then again I may forget to put on the rear windows and it gets wet anyway. The only problem I have had in 20k miles is a broken handle on the seat lift, and I haven't cared about it enough to get it fixed in the past 3 months.

My first Jeep was a rust CJ7, and I will always be loyal to that particular vehicle. However, having bought a new Rubicon, I friggin' love this thing. Just tonight I was cruising with the doors off and just the "hardtop bikini" on and was thinking how nearly a year into ownership I still enjoy my Jeep. I really can't see myself driving anything else at this point in my existence.
