Love it...? or Hate it...?
Man sounds like you definitely got one of the Jeeps that came off the production line on a Friday. Sorry to hear about your Jeep. I too have the leaky soft top (mine leaks on the driver's side where the door meets the top. Kind of sucks, but I didn't buy it for luxury and kind of think the leaky thing gives it character. But on a serious note, I love my Jeep and even if I had all the problems you are having, I would still love the Jeep 'itself' maybe not the crappy one I bought, but I would sure as hell be looking at replacing it with another via the lemon law thing. BLUF, I hope things start getting better for ya, and hopefully one day you get the Jeep/product that truly makes it stand out from any other off road capable vehicle. Take care
I am having similar problems to him, and it blows. I have to tell you I do not understand this logic that Leaking gives it character. If any of my previous 4 Jeeps leaked like this I wouldn't have this one. I don't think a New vehicle should have these issues. But even more I think that the manufacturer should stand behind their product if you do have issues. The only resolution to problems should not be the court system and lemon law claims. The dealer should fix the Jeep. If they cannot, the manufacturer should. At 15k miles under full manufacturer warranty I am now having to start repairing my own Jeep. The whole reason I got rid of my TJ and bought this is so I wouldn't have to work on it. Ironic.
I've owned foreign and domestic cars and trucks. Each manufacturer has its ups and downs. The german cars (Audi and VW) I have owned were extremely safe and quick (love the turbos)- but the electrical problems associated with computer interfaces drove me crazy. The GM trucks I have owned were great but I had problems with water pumps and such. I would definately buy another Jk, but with the lockers. I read and read all of the write ups on Jks and had a mixed opinion of them when I bought mine. In the end, I'm happy with what I have.
You have to remember, a lot of people never go to a forum, or post much, until they have an issue. So you will see a lot of post about problems on any vehicle specific forum. And any vehicle will have a few produced that are just lemons.. Uz pays yo money and uz take yo chances!!!!
Any way,, I have 11,000 miles on mine and not one problem. But I a basic X with manual trans, the only options are tow package, limited slip rear and cruise control. I don't have power windows, door locks or any of the other fancy stuff.. I figure it is a Jeep, I go off road, there are vibrations and the less stuff to fail the better chance it won't.

I bought my Rubicon in April. I have had several small problens really nothing that would make me change my mind. In fact tomarrow it will be at the dealer for the eighth time. They keep ordering the parts and replacing them. I really know my jeep now every noise rattle but its all taken care of.......I would buy another one tomarrow.
i love my jeep. its an 2007 sahara. i love it i wouldnt by another one only beacuse i have a TJ and a JK. with the gas prices right now it would be hard to handle another. But if they come out with a jk with a V8 i would buy it or trade mine in for it in a heart beat with out thinking twice
