I agree. I wave at them all, but the % of stock jeeps waving back is very low!!! No worries though, just keep on keeping on!!

 

Lately I have been 0-31 with waves from CJ, YJ, TJ and JK owners.... I am just about going to give up as my wife just laughs....and gives a smartass comment like "ohhhh another Jeep owner left you hanging" and would laugh...

I wave everytime & I have a tricked out JK ... YJ & TJ rarely wave back & even the JK owners in my area rarely wave. I actually had 1 guy shot me the finger when I waved ... I followed & got next to him @ a traffic light & waved quite a few more times.

 

I got a wave from the driver of a UPS truck this morning. I assumed he has a jeep and it was reflex.

 

i been working the jeep wave alot down here in mexico. every jk, cj, tj, or cherokee i see. lots or mod'd, most are not. i get thumbs up from many people also as i drive around top less and door less, one taxi driver asked me at a stop light if the jeep and A/C. i said yes but the fresh air is better, lol.

The wave becomes habit. I blink the high beams and then wave.

 

I get lots of waves...here in MI there are a ton of Jeeps...I have carpel tunnel from waving! What is really funny is when I'm in our Van and I get caught waving at Jeeps...habits die hard!!!

I purchased my JK about a year ago. One day my wife was with me and just so happens one of them finally did the wave to me. I (by instinct) waved back not thinking about it. My wife then proceeded to laugh and say, "Did he just wave at you because you're in a jeep?" My response.. "Sure did, its a Jeep thing..yadda yadda yadda." Next thing you know my wife starts mocking me and waves at every Jeeper, just because she thinks its cute and funny. Well here I am about 6 months later and have been gun shy with the wave, due to the mockery that pursued. But it did get my thinking as I drive to and from work. Here in colorado we have a plethora of JEEPS especially in the summer and I must pass 5 to and from work every day without a wave. I think its time to break that....

on a side note.. The wife takes the jeep once a week when I go out of town. Comes home the other night and says, "I think I should start drive the jeep more." "Why?", i ask. "Well," she starts, you should see the guys checking me out. i just look better in it." My response, "you should try waving to them and then see their response." She just smiled....

 

I wave to all CJ, YJ, TJ and JK's if they are stock or fully custom.
I learned two wrongs don't make it right! So just cause a CJ didn't wave first or back isn't a reason to not continue for me. I see it as I am participating in keeping the wave alive!

So Basic13 and others, don't give up!
