It is funny because I have seen tons of posts saying that shrockworks lead time is many months, but people still order it because the quality is worth the wait. In life many things worth having are worth waiting for. If this is the first time you have ever been on a waiting list, you should treat yourself to more nice things in life.

As far as giving the guy a break... As far as I know David's livelihood is his business, and I have never seen anything negative said about his customer service until now. When you go running your mouth in a forum like this you scare potential customers away from products and businesses. You need to consider what gossip, rumors, and half-truths do to the reputations of business that have obviously worked very hard to make their name mean something.

Based from your comment "I've had poor service from everyone involved." and my personal dealing with David at Northridge I assume you have not bought many products from retailers and you are likely very young? As you grow up you will find that retailers like David are non-existent in this internet based cyber-retail world where everything is numbers and prices. Before I posted something bashing a company known for its quality bumpers, and a company known for outstanding customer service, I would make damn sure I had given them every opportunity to resolve the problem I had. They would not learn about my problem from a thread I posted.

I placed my first order with David last week, and he had answered ever question I had, returned every call and all for a transaction less than $1000. I know when the items arrive on Monday they will be exactly what I want, and ordered. From now on I will not price-shop other places I will just pick up the phone and call him.

i understand your frustration being an impatient person my self. No problem ranting about the wait but that's nothing to do with customer service unless they told you it was in stock. I ranted about my wait for gears once and it kinda came off like it was Northridge's fault. Of course it wasn't and I oppologized for my poor wording. Perhaps you should do the same?

On another note, a couple of times I ordered from Northridge and recieved my parts two days later and I live in Canada. Now thats fast! Plus David is very knowlegeable and I like the way his web site packages the gears into a set with overhaul kits or install kits. No other web site that I am aware of does that.

Ya and from what I hear David handled it fine. What is David supposed to do call every other day just to say he hasn't heard anything?

LOL!! and your point is what? northridge4x4 was contacted and the OP received an immediate response. just because he didn't get the answer he wanted to hear doesn't mean that he got poor customer service.

exactly! Be glad David is much cooler than me, cause I would have transferred you back your money and told you to have a good life. Then if you still wanted it you would have to start the wait all over again. but I am a 8=====D

I would like to thank def9112 for understanding. When you pay money to a company to recieve a product you expect them to handle your issues. The first time i wrote northridge i received a promising response. I was told i was 30 days from receiving my bumper. After more than 30 days i followed up and was told to call the manufacturer. Even though i thought it was not my responsibility to do so i did. So when i am told that i will not receive it until May i start to wonder where the original 30 days comes from.
As for the wait i went on this forum and saw that people were waiting an average of 4 months to receive the product. Not 8. so i am not being impatient. Entire Jeeps are built in less time.
So for contacting Northridge first about the issue; i did. And i was told to find out where it was for myself. I was not even given shrockworks phone number.
Just because you received good service from a company doesn't mean i haven't. I have worked for companies like Northridge, I am not a young kid and i know customer service. I know about quality products, you get quality service. Maybe my experience is different from yours. Just accept it.

I agree 100%, I had a small problem with something I ordered from Northridge and David called me @ home within 5 minutes and straightened it out ASAP. What other vendor would call you @ home that fast. I think that David offers the best customer service I have ever personally had from any company of any size. I have had many dealings with mail order parts company's over the years since I have been a gear head for 25+ years, I think David is heads and shoulders above the rest. Just my .02

personally, i think shrockworks needs to get their shit together.

northridge seems to be a first class act; rare in this day and age, but i understand tebo's frustration.

8 months wait for a bumper is pretty f'kn excessive, no matter what the quality.

shrockworks is the problem, not northridge or tebo!!

but what the fuck do i know............

Well I can't speak for David but perhaps he didn't know it would take that long? I wouldn't be to happy either if someone told me 30 days and they knew better. It is hard to believe David would not know how long it takes on average for that product. K, he never gave you the number or told you why he was instructed to tell you to call the manufacturer? That's too bad but I imagine, if true, was just a mistake and a rarity given his excellent track record.
