This is so sad...
me too on this one, plus jeep sales to all kinds of people keep the wrangler alive. as for the door thing, I don't like them off, and neither do my friends around where I live. but to each his own.
What’s sad is this entire topic and your attitude.
The reply from j33per was right on the money, very nicely said. I agree and wonder what sort of personal issues someone has that they are concerned how another driver behaves simply because they happen to drive the same vehicle.
Why is it that so many on the boards like to talk about how the Wrangler represents freedom, yet I don’t have the freedom to enjoy mine, as I want to?
And this nonsense that “those” owners just don’t get the “Jeep thing” is ridiculous. Yes I get it. It’s not a tough concept. What you don’t understand is not everyone has the same view and they may want to enjoy their Wrangler in a different way.
This being said, the other driver is just as bad for not understanding why you enjoy driving with the doors off. But I guess since he doesn’t “get it” maybe he’s allowed to be confused.
Jeep, it’s a symbol of freedom. As long as you follow the crowd and behave as everyone else.

Love the 4 door Jeep and wave at every Jeep I see. I offroad about once or twice a month with a great group of guys, and hate that guys with 2 doors think the 4 doors are not true Jeeps. 4 doors perform very well off road(just cant turn as well as the 2 doors LOL). I do hate when people say why would you take a brand new vehicle and destroy it like that!! then go buy a minivan. If you are with the right group, and dont go go flying through trails like an idiot you are not destroying the vehicle, they are Jeeps so take the top and doors off and enjoy the adventure.
NO SOUP FOR YOU!

No, seriously, its wicked 360~ free to choose & free to have opinions expressed: cant win either way..........but we'll ALL get along better if you just agree with me...on everything

Yet another reader has completely missed the point. I guess I wasn't clear in my original post. Please read this one for clarification:

Ok, here goes....
At 40-something, and in field sales management, I have had to give up my love for Jeeps due to practicality. I have had 4 CJ's,an M38A1-CDN3, and a Wrangler, but as I got older and my career advanced, I had to move to the Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. I could have a toy CJ, but never seemed to get enough time in it.
Lo and behold, Wrangler Unlimited. Now I can have my cake and eat it too. Yes, my doors and top may be up during the week, because it's not easy to conduct business on a cell phone with the wind-noise. My customer may like the AC...or may like the top down...my choice.
This "Multi-purpose" vehicle is attracting a whole new crowd, and that can be a good thing! I may not be modded on this one, or doorless, but I'm a &^%$^& jeeper, and have been since 1971, at 4yrs old, when my mom said I blurted out "JEEP" at a CJ.
To the poor soul who doesn't understand the freedom of enjoying his Jeep? I say bring them to the light by being the friendliest group of knuckleheads around. I mean who else out there even HAS a wave....
Sucks to be an adult sometimes, but I have a Jeep to keep me young...
Rant on my friends, and "poser" out!

I think I am about to stop waving to JKs in my area. Hell, even most TJ and CJ drivers don't wave here. Maybe they don't like my Jeep, I dunno. I can't wait to get out of this Redneck Trash Hole called Texarkana.
