I have both, hood liner and underhood lamp. My Jeep is an X model, C Package, and was an October build. I haven't checked on the footwell light.

Yes, I have the light as well. Though the wires for the light are just flapping around and look like they should be secured down somewhere.

 

They should. There are some clips that are supposed to be there to hold it to the hood!

I have a December Built JK Unlimited "X" but with many upgrades. (It may as well be a sahara package) My Jeep doesn't have the under hood insulation either. I work at an automotive accessorie shop, the other day we had a Rubicon 2door and an X 2door in there and they both had the insulation. When I took my vehicle into the dealership to have them fix the hard top leak I mentioned the insulation to them. I was told that my vehicle doesn't have a provision for the insulation but they couldn't give me a reason why. "Some have it and some don't. We don't know why." I think they were lying to get out of fixing it for me. The Rubicon had wiring for the light but no light and the X only had the insulation. I think D.C. is pumping these JKs out so fast that they are overlooking the small things. My JK was also missing the rear wiper motor cover and the small triangular plastic piece by the right side mirror. So, why shouldn't I assume that they forgot the insulation too?

 

I have an X with the 24S pkg and other options. I have neither the mat nor the lamp. My vehicle was built in mid January. Should I take it to the dealer and insist that they install the mat? (how cheap of them to not include it).

 

The service dept. where I bought my JK already said that I shouldn't have the mat under hood, so I'm going to talk to my sales person, then his boss and if I don't get the mat, I'll go straight to the top. I'll complain to the boss' wife! hehehe.

 

its been discontinued.. theres a thread floating around somewhere on here..

 

on my dealer's lot, there's an area with about 10 or 15 2dr's in a line. they're all X's. some of them are 23s, some are 24s, most are 24c/s. about 5 of them have the underhood insulation. maybe 3 or 4 have the underhood light. i haven't checked for the footwell light.
