Will the 2 door survive.
There are quite a few 2-doors on the lot of the dealer that I buy my Jeeps from. I also see quite a few 2-doors running around my area, although the population is definitely slanted toward the 4-doors.
My personal 2 cents is that the 2-doors will always be around, though, because I think whether you choose a 2-door or a 4-door is mostly a function of how practical you need the vehicle to be or how much space you need inside. If you're single with no kids, you probably don't want/need the 4-door. OTOH, if you are married with kids or you just want the most practical (in terms of cargo/people capacity and ease of back-seat use) daily driver that's still a "real" Jeep, then the 4-door is probably your choice.
Another thought that I had is that I don't think that LESS people are buying 2-doors -- rather, I think more people are buying Wranglers and that those extra numbers are leaning heavily toward the 4-doors because prior to 2007, needed more practicality or hauling space than the 2-doors afforded them.
Like I said, just my

So this thread turned into a bash 4 door jeeps thread.... Truth is, theres nothing a 2 door jeep can do that a 4 door cant. If your going to call 4 door jeepers not real jeepers then what does that say about WOL and Everyone on the JK Experiance videos? Look for your self, They are taking these 4 doors to places no one thought they would. I seen one 2 door featured in WOL videos and he was having trouble following the 4 doors. I had a 2 door jk before my 4 door. Ya I loved it but at the same time I couldnt fit camping gear, fishing gear, and my wife and dogs in it at the same time. Its not nearly as good on steep hill climbs. I love off roading. I mean heck my old 06 TRD Tacoma did better than my 2 door in certain situations.
Point is, everyone has a reason for owning a 2 door or 4 door. They both do the same things. Some people have big families and some dont. Some people have things they need cargo room for and some people like to have the extra space. With one thing in mind, and that being 4 wheeling or exploring. There is a reason we all have a 2 door or 4 door and its not right to bash on what other people like just because you dont.

Real "jeeps" are the original Willys (or Bantams if you want to get super technical) and don't have any doors or tops.
So just by having 2 doors doesn't make you any more of a "jeeper" than those with 4 doors. If you think it does, then you need to get over yourself.
Like Land Rover Defender 90s (2 doors) and 110s (4 doors) that came before our JKs, the JK and JKU each has its pros and cons based on the respective wheel bases.
Be happy and thankful you have a jeep no matter how many "doors" you have and go enjoy some trails.

I see mostly 2 door jeeps in the Jackson, MS area. If I had a wife and 2 kids, who knows, maybe I'd buy a JKU. My friend's wife said, "You should have gotten a 4 door, so we could all ride." I told her to climb in to my 2 door.
In my own opinion I think the 2 door will eventually be phased out. You look at all the 4 doors out there. They out number 2 door's 10 -1 at least. You look at all the older people buying 4 door jeeps. Young families buying 4 door jeeps. Former Hummer owners buying 4 door jeeps. I go past the dealer all the time and only see 4 door jeeps. If there is a 2 door it is a special order. It will come down to 4 door family jeeps and that is it. There is a very small market for 2 door if any. When that time comes the 2 doors will be a classic forever.
