Will the 2 door survive.

I don't think the 2door will go away, around here it's about 1 to 1. But more of the 2 doors seem modified. If it goes away it will be because of govt. regulation or someother legal reason. Why do you think the CJ5 went away? Bad publicity and lawsuits over rollovers.
If I had the money I'd have one of each, since there are things I miss about my TJ.
This type arguements have gone on for years about Jeeps. CJ5 vs. CJ6, CJ5 vs. CJ7, Flatfender vs. CJ5. I guess if we were all purist we'd be driving MB's/CJ2's.

With the enclosed trailer you can secure things in it at your base camp too. I originally purchased it for a move from the east coast to Colorado, but I've grown attached to it (plus it matches my Jeep). Best $800 I've spent in a while. I don't intend to use it running around the Rockies solo though as I would like to remain mobil without the hassle of dragging a trailer off road. To haul to a basecamp though, you can't beat it. You could set up a cot in it too. I've thought about putting some Rubican wheels and tires on it with a fully articulating reciever.

Not in Russellville, Conway, Little Rock or Clarksville. Knoxville must be all to it's own. Mostly 4 doors every where else. Probably a 10-2 ratio 4 to 2 doors.
