Mine I just bought this week is a 2008 X Unlimited with 6 spd, rear locker, swaybar disco, dual top, 6 disc CD, premium sound sub, 17" wheels, tow pagkage, S pkg stickered at $29,290. With 3000 in rebates plus dealer discount, I got it for $23,250.

But on the other side I was at a different dealer, and they had an 09 X Unlimited with nothing but an auto trans and hardtop, they wouldn't deal. They had a 1000 rebate on the 09s and they gave me a quote of $24,560 out the door on a stripped JK. Try other dealers.

My friend just bought one Friday ('09 silver 2-dr X auto)...

He had his own financing and no trade (previously leased a TJ).

He got the '09 for $16,900! Unreal.

Nice, the best price I got so far was $17,050 for an 08 2dr X auto soft top. Did he get a soft top or a hard top? What dealer did he go to?

May not be the best deal but I was happy enough. Bought a 08 2dr sahara. Didn't have the GPS but had pretty much everything else. Bought it for $20600 before the lic. fees.

You got a great deal. I paid $27,680 for mine this time last year. Same options.

Bargain hard and walk out if they don't deal. If you want one now is a good time.

I plan on doing that tomorrow. The way they act when I go, you would swear the market is booming.
