Default Will it work guys?

Can I run 265/70 or 275/70's on a 17x9 wheel ? Everything is stock except for the wheels. 17x9 4.5 bs and -12 off set.
Thought a 285/70 would cause rubbing or kill power?

Well I really like the wheels that are 17x9 but just wasn't sure if a 265 or 275 would fit ok on that width wheel. I air down on the beach and usually take some other girls along so was afraid the 285 would rub with all our stuff and people aboard?

I'm running 265-70-18's, if that helps?

They work great. No rubbing lock to lock.

Edit: Sorry, I overlooked the part about aftermarket wheels. The above is on a stock rim.

My stock rims are either 17x7.5 or 17x8 any way the tires that are on them are 285/70R17. But you will need 1.5" spacers

You'll be fine. These are 305/65R17 with only a leveling kit.

Rims are 17x9 with basically 4.5" BS

I'm running 285/75/17 BFG MT KM2 on stock rubi wheels and 1.5in spacers (just to be sure of no rubbing and I like the tire pushed out a little bit)
