Very Nice!

We have not been to Colorado in 24 years! Looks like we are going to have to extend our moab trip a little to allow for the scenic route on the way back home.

Thanks. Wish I got to meet some of you locals during our trip there. There's always next time (technically, many more next times )

You got to run Ophir Pass which I didn't, but got to run Black Bear. I'd love to do Black Bear again sometime. Colorado is almost beckoning me for the 3-day weekend around Labor Day next month . 3 Days will let me run Black Bear (or Ophir), Imogene, Yankee Boy, Governor Basin, Red Mountain, Alpine Loop (Engineer & Cinnamon), and maybe Poughkeepsie. The thought sounds extremely tempting; do you think you could make another trip this year or were you thinking next year? It's more fun with a few people than doing it by yourself.

Wow, that looked like an amazing trip. The wife loved the two pictures of the chipmunks.

If you're in the Nathrop/Salida area, a short drive to St. Elmo is a well worth one. It's just amazing how many chipmunks and ground squirrels there are - they'll just climb right up on you or your hand to get the seeds .

Hey bud thinking next trip will be next year no more vacation time ...it also takes me 22 hrs to get to ouray!! I did run poughkeepsie trail up to the wall but it was raining the wall was way to wet to even think about attempting a run with the rig without a winch it would have been asking for a roll over. walking up the wall i almost fell....so next year i will have the rig ready for poughkeepsie that is for sure! if you are ever up in the midwest area hit me up...

...

Know the feeling about no more vacation time . Oh well, there's always next year . Holy Smoke! Didn't realize that it was almost a full day's trip to get to Ouray (guess I should stop complaining that it takes me 13 hours to get to Ouray ). Trust me, if I make it up in your neck of the woods, I'll sure give you a shout and if you happen to make it around Oklahoma, let me know and we can try to meet up.

Is that pic where the trail on Ophir Pass got washed out because of the rain?
