Anybody using this with just the rubber lining, without the bungee?

I am sure you could, there is no reason why not to.

Nice job with the write up

One question/suggestion though. Doesnt the use of the hardware to hold the cord in place seem like overkill? I havent done this mod yet so Im not sure if its possible. But couldnt you have just tied the ends in knots and then burned them? Also that way you would have two less things in your Jeep that will Rattle and drive you up the wall later on.

It might appear that way, but it doesn't rattle, and I promise the bunny won't come loose. One of the reasons I wrote this up is because the original thread didn't specify what he used for the conversion. I wanted to use parts that everyone could find.

If you find something better, feel free to share, that's how we make these better and better!!!!!

For sure! I hope you didnt get me wrong. I wasnt trying to knock you in the least. Just an un-educated observation. Looks like a great mod and better yet an inexpensive Mod. Looking forward to see what else you come up with.

Did this last night and tweaked it a little bit more. I used all the parts listed, I just added 2 cords, one high and one low. I will try to get some pictures, but to me it seems to hold things a little more secure.
