No, my steering was way off and a quck turn of the draglink and I was back in business. Its not hard at all.

Your esp may be going off cause your wheels are NOT in line due to the track bars and or the computer is sensing one tire spinning faster then the other and its out of spec with the factory settings due to the tire being pulled faster on one side with the track bar issues. Also if your steering is not perfectly centered this will happen every time.

Ok. I have centered the steering. Do you have to drive for awhile for it to go out?

No it should go out immediately following the fix. Turn you Jeep on and off and drive it again, it should then go out. It will however stay on if you fixed it and did not restart the Jeep.

Juliet Kilo's write up is great. The only thing I would add for beginners like me, is that the steering will be off even after the axles are centered.

Know that I have done it... it would be so easy next time...;-) I look ofrward to helping someone do theirs.

If I don't immediately center my steering, will my esp light come/stay on?

It most likely is going to go and off until you recenter your wheel unless its really off. Just dive under there and get her done only takes five minutes.
