Yeah, I DEFINITELY want to go with the steel at some point myself. I simply couldn't find any locally. As soon as I come across some steel with a pattern that I want, i'm definitely changing over also!! Looks awesome on yours

No, I grabbed it from work 3/8 perforated steel. Rattle canned it. My fan constantly kicks on so I did a PSP hood Louvre yesterday

Yeah. I noticed some overheating when I wheeled Colorado last month. Also, when I got back, I pressure washed at the self car wash nearby, and knocked out all but 3 of the mounts. I ripped it out and am done with it for awhile. I might try a more permanent solution that can stand up to multiple power washes.

Mine has been in for 7 or 8 months no problems with it not staying in and I've spent some time with the high pressure

Used 1/4 20 ga aluminum for mine, plasti dipped it black. Pretty sure it did flatten the grill out once I re installed but not very noticeable. Just has to push a bit more to clip it in. Pretty easy install with tin snips and some patience on the zip ties [center=32.748677,-117.152028&zoom=14&markers=32.748677,-117.152028&size=400x300&sensor=true[/IMG]

I tried the gorilla glue on mine and several mounting blocks popped out the first week, tried the locktite epoxy and it lasted 2yrs on my 12' no problems at all even with ice packed on it all winter. Just did my 14' last weekend the same way but this time had to trim 1/16" off each mounting block that went between each opening, they wouldn't fit this time so the new grilles must be slightly closer.

Default Grill Mod

I used the lock tite epoxy, plastic gutter guard, and square wire tie holders. Removed the double sided tape from the square wire tie holders, and scuffed the holders, and where the are epoxied. I have no problem pressure washing it and it is holding up without problems.
