Thanks, that is definitely what I'll be doing once the weather warms up a bit.

Great project. My grille modification was similar except with my white 2010 Sahara and Khaki top, I went with a matching khaki grille. To duplicate the top texture and color on the grille, I sprayed a light coat of stone guard and started spraying the color coats gradually adding clear coat to the final coats to add hardness and UV protection. This left the grille looking like the top material with just a hint of low gloss.
Then I inserted the Rugged Ridge black billet grille inserts. I simply replaced the chrome logo. It looks sooo good.
My upgrades include: mud guards, bug deflector, side window deflectors, hood mounted flood lights, Rugged Ridge dash tray, tail light guards, and door entry guards. I'm set.
My JK is now mine. I am 72 years old so it's time for me to leave the real tough stuff to you younger folks. But I am still having fun.

So many comments about the plastic push pins. I have removed with a flat screw driver and drilled them out with a 1/4 bit. For clean, no scratch work, I will trust the drill bit removal for my work, like our project author.
Also, I replace them with plastic rivets. They are two part rivets. They provide more contact and material to lock down the project. Buy mine from NAPA, but can be found in most shops beside the push pins. Best Regards All.
