My JK is Black, and while I like the all black look, I'm thinking a contrast in the grill slots would set it off. The problem is that I don't want to pick something I'll be sick of in a month. Brushed stainless would be safe and look great but that's been done.

Hmmmm. Time to check out some paint colors.

Now that you have this done for a while.. do you have any issues with the resin in the epoxy leaching through the plastic and showing up on the painted side?

I've had this happen in the past.. might just be the epoxy I used. Any place there was a dab of epoxy there was a clouding of the paint on the other side.

Also.. interesting approach to the epoxy mix.. you put it in a baggie to mix it and squeezed it out of the bag??

Really nice write up, I wish I would have seen this sooner. Would have been a good summer break project for me. Thanks for sharing, I am going to go about mine in the same way!

Started this project this evening. First coat of bed liner and paint is settling right now.
Quick question about the epoxy, how is epoxy for holding up in freezing temps with the gutter guard and the plastic?

I absolutely love this. I'm not usually a fan of bedlined grills on jeeps other than black but this is awesome. I wonder how it would look on a white with white jeep logo and white fencing. Anyone done that?

So this is my way of telling the other drivers there is a code of conduct. LOL

Thanks for the idea....must say I started to use gloves a little late. Several cuts before deciding I needed some gloves. Was really pleased with the results thanks for the idea.
