Hard Top removal - ALONE!
Nah, it's not over built. I feel a lot better knowing that expensive top is safe. The only thing I did different was a back stop and guide rails so I can't F up and slide it off. It really is so easy to take off and put on and stores safe and sound. Thanks again to the op.

Built mine. Need to adjust I a bit. The side platform boards I put on flush, need to move them forward a bit so they hit the Jeep before the 4X4 hits the bumper. The gap is quit large from the top to the platform.
I did the same thing (moving the platform boards). There is no gap on mine now and gives me peace of mind. I plan on putting some carpet on the top portion soon. This just feels so much better than the hoist I was using.

Do you guys secure the top down after you get it on the platform? Don't want it to come crashing down, it has been fairly windy here lately.
