Ok, I've only read a few quotes on this last page and got tired of seeing "3/16 read the receipt".. 3/16 is tiny, that's the size of the hole for a hair pin cotter used in the end of the clevis pin. Yes, 7/16 will go through the bracket and end link without drilling anything, however it will be sloppy loose in the holes. I used a half inch pin, drilled the end links and it works good. It's still loose in the axle bracket but not near as bad and I don't hear any noise from it. I can take and post pics if anyone wants to see them.

The second hole to the end of pin needs to be drilled to the next size and if I remember its a 1/4 in drill bit

I actually attach both ends of the strap up top vertically, but either way will work. Works well for me. Hope this helpsLast edited by kh202; Jun 18, 2013 at 03:00 AM.
