THIS! Been using it for months, inside, outside, plastic, metal, no after effects, re-apply every 5 or 6 weeks if required.

I only did the fenders and you can see the difference between the old and the new I took this pic 2 days ago.
I still have to do the bumpers and side steps.

I think I'm going to go the bed liner route. I did the top latches on my hood and my license plate holder. It came out really well.

Tire Wet spray works really good. Last weeks and then I reapply. Easy and cheap.

I find turtle wax trim restorer works really well and lasts a lot longer. It doesn't wash of when rain hits it, and you will find water just beads off.

I've tried mothers back to black, but meguiars ultimate black works the best for me.

Default Black Fenders

Use "Eagle One" Tire Shine it lasts for about 6-8 months. Just spray on and wipe off

Smile A bit more scientific test

Ok, so there a lot of different options. So I decided to test it a bit more scientifically. On my fender I did a 3" test strip of the following:
Peanut butter
Olive oil
Armor All
Turtle wax Trim restorer
Meguiar's ultimate black

I put it on last Sunday and already the peanut butter and the olive oil suck. I took some photos, and will share updates on a weekly basis.

The winning product from this test - I will put up against some of the other products recommended. If anyone wants to donate a portion of a bottle (enough to do a 3" strip) I'm open as this could get expensive.

I could test this in the weatherometer, but I would need a donor fender as it has to be cut up to fit in.

I have a sahara but for my running boards and when I used to have the stock front bumper, I use NuFinish. It's about $20 for a small container but it's worth it. Also Meguirs Black restoration is really good.
