Hmmm...I might have to try this...it sounds easy enough for even me to do (electrically challenged)

It is one of the easiest hop ups to do, and I think it is one of the nicest for safety. Guys at the dealership wondered how that is that way and I make believe that it is just that way from the factory.

OK...sorry or a dumb question here. (First let me say this mod is scaring the shit outta me. I've read the instructions and I know I'm gonna screw it up.)

Do I need to disconnect the battery? I assume you all did but..just wanted to be sure.

Although i am sure a lot of people dont do so, IMO you should ALWAYS disconnect power from any electrical circuit, just to be safe whenever you intend to work on it.

I didn't, but I am not saying that's the smart thing to do.
Just remember the old adage, "measure twice cut once".
Or maybe in this case read the instruction twice before cutting.

I was planning on doing it with my 09 when I was making my grill insert. However, when I started looking at the wiring, I couldn't see an easy way to get the wires close enough to make the connections, and ended up not doing the mod.

If anyone else with an 09 has done this and has some pictures I'd love to see 'em as well

Super easy, thought I had not done a thorough job the other day when all of the sudden the blinker began blinking rapidly. After going straight to my wiring job, and scratching my head for a bit. Found the tail light had burnt out, and all my work had actually held up.
