Yep the wiring was the same as the other lights. I just got the LED's from Walmart they are the 6 light LED lights .But they work fine the marker and blinking work just like the others.

Did the wiring job today, works great. Took maybe 20 mins., 10 per side. I used the Jeep's wire, did not get any extra wire. Just cut the black wire from the side marker up by the top plug. Pulled it down to the front light, and tapped it to the outside white wire, with a "scotch lock" I think it's called.
Wrapped it up with tape, done.

You'll have an immediate indication that this has happened if you hit your turn signal and the dash indicator is blinking twice as fast as normal. Could make lane changes exciting if you're not careful I know my rear signal went out when the marker bulb blew, not sure about the front - I didn't check it.
I am not sure that would happen, since you are only tapping a wire.
The front signal light wire is not cut, only tapped off of.
And how that would make your rear signal light go out, I don't know.
If I am wrong, please someone correct me.

Count me in for this one. Just finished and it works great. I did use the little plastic "tap splice" connectors, and I am kinda worried about water getting in and corroding the wires. So I will probably take them off then solder and heat shrink the connection later this week. Great idea, thanks guys!

If you take your time you can made it look like factory work. Just buy some extra wire and run it in those black tubes. Than DON'T tell your dealer, I highly doubt they would notice. I didn't do mine this way, out of warranty anyway.

This reminds me of my old Ford Focus... Ford put LEDs in the power door lock switches, but never ran wire to light them up. Had to tap into the power window wires.

But the best was the cabin air filter... there was a place to put the filter, but Ford used an empty cage-like tray instead of a paper filter. Why even put anything in there in the first place if you're not going to put a filter in? I took out the plastic tray and stuck in a Taurus cabin filter for $12 bucks.

It's weird where they try to save money.

Thanks for the write up... I'm gonna try it.
