What did you use to splice in to the wires? May not have a good connection at the splice. Just throwing some ideas out there I am not an electrical expert by no means lol

Did this mod this weekend with my LED side markers. I used a wwrite-up from another forum using 2 diodes and a resister from radio shack. Worked great!

Did this mod last night and I love it. It's stupid how much a flashing light can bring happiness into my life.
Once I figured it out it was a breeze. I highly recommend this mod! Props to whoever the hell figured this out!

Just spent 5 minutes doing the marker light mod. Easiest mod since flipping the rear view mirror. I second the post before me, when it worked I grinned like a fool.

How hard is it to wire LEDs? I'm thinking of putting LED rock lights in and am unfamiliar with the process.

The stock lights come with just 2 wires.
The Scorpion side lights come with 2 wires

Just cut and re-splice to car wires. Then seal it however you can. Simple hand tools and you can go to electronics store and purchase some shrink tube to make it water tight and give it a little OEM look.

Yes that is correct... cut the black going to the side marker and tap that into the outside white wire on the front turn sig. It does work as both marker and turn sig then. Durnig the day the side fender light will function as a turn sig and when the running lights are on the side fender lights will be solid until you turn on the turn sig then they flash. Have no idea why they dont come wired from the factory like this.
Pretty dumb.
Does this work with all JK's,(2007-2012)?
