I did this mod ony my 2010 JKUR. I have since sold it and purchased a 2012 JKUR. Anyone performed this mod with GoRecon LED turn signals and side markers? The Turn Signals have resistors wired in to prevent fast flash. Thanks!
Yes, did this with Recon LED turn and side markers but didn't flash properly until I installed the resistors. Then I didn't like the out of sync flashing (really annoying when combined with taillight LEDs) and wanted full functionality so I added the DRL-1 from Webelectric and everything works great now: full parking lighting, full turn lighting, and all synchronous whether headlights are on or not.
I didn't make this, just found it on youtube. Word of caution, the comments under the video mention this mod is for a 2013 Wrangler, viewer comments say this will not work on the 2014 Wrangler.

Based on one of the above posts, comments on that YouTube video say it won't work on a 2014. Has anyone confirmed this? I went out to take a look at the wiring, and everything seems to be the same, with the exception of different colored wires now being used (different from driver to passenger side as well).
I did the mod on my 2014, and I wish I can tell you exactly what I did, but I did it at the same time I put on Bushwacker flat fenders, which now makes those wires nearly impossible to get to anymore.
I did notice one thing, however that kind of aggravates me. I tested the wiring on the driver's side with the factory bulb. It worked as expected. But since the Bushwacker uses LEDs, and they are polarized, they come on as markers, blink when the lights are on, but they don't blink when the lights are off. The passenger side was a little more difficult to figure out, and I used a probe to determine which wires to use.
I think if I were to ever open it back up, I might install a diode bridge rectifier on the wires and it may solve the issue with them not blinking when the lights are not on. I run with my lights on whenever I am moving, so it's not a major issue for me.
