Come to think of it, I just got the Mopar Trail Guide and it plugs into the passenger side power source, so which side does the power source for the heated seats plug into?

Anyone with neoprene seat covers try this? If it works, would save time, and keep the frustration level to a minimum.

I have had mine for about a year now. I mounted my switches by the gear shift and cup holders (see photo a few pages back). I would highly recomend putting your switch in this location as it is much easier to get to than having to reach past the shifter.

These took me most of an afternoon to install. Takes a little longer if you want to install the switches in the console as then you have to pull that apart too.

No splicing was required

Your location only works if you've got a 6speed. Those with Autos don't have that space.

So I'm wondering, if you've got an 09 with the net and an auto where the heck you mount the switch.

I've got an 09 auto,
I would mount mine above the Auto trans lever, there is a semi circular recess.
Its not as convenient as the spot in front of the manual, but it should blend it pretty well I think.

Ah yes, forgot about that location. Probably forgot about it because mine seems to get filled with change all the time. lol

I'll probably just put mine where the OP put his, but I really wanted the little cargo net. lol Oh well, looks like the heated seats just saved me 40 bucks or whatever that little part cost. lol

Put the switch for the "Heated Seats" under the center console glove box, there is a flat space between the arm rest (if that is what you want to call it) and the cup holders. Right between the seat belt clips in the photo...

All done!! Nice and toasty seats now! OK had to chase down some hog rig pliers at Home Depot. Check in the chain link fence hardware section. One thing is that they stay on after you shut the Jeep off.. So not too sure on that but not going to re wire for it.

Really? Did you run your wiring per the DC instructions? (I'm not trying to be pedantic here, just a little puzzled)

If you insert the DC "T" plug into the passenger side cig lighter wiring, you'll get unswitched power. Driver's side should get you switched power. At least that's what my multimeter tells me about my jeep.

Also bear in mind that the "switched" power doesn't switch off when you turn the engine off. You still have "switched" power on until you open the door.

If you plugged into the driver's side power point, and your heated seats stay on after you take the key out and open the door....

Maybe that's something to mention to your stealership. I'm pretty sure that the power point on that side is supposed to be switched. It'd be way too easy to leave the seats on "melt yo butt" setting and drain your battery if you're using unswitched power.
