It seems a little bright in the pics but that could easily be your camera exposure. I would like something like this, but i would want to be able to turn it down to just a very faint amount of light. Do those strips have a minimum voltage? or can it be adjusted down?

I dont remember the voltage requirement being on the package, but I believe that by dimming the dash lights, you are decreasing the voltage, as mine are tied to the dash lights. If you wanted them on a seperate dimmer, you could run a rheostat. Just a thought. They are bright, if you used the 3 LED strip, it wouldn't be so bad, I just used what I had already purchased. I had to dim them when I first did it, but now the dimmer is all the way up, and I dont even notice. I have seen this setup in blue, and it looked great with the guys MyGig. Red wouldn't bother your night vision, green and blue aren't really a problem either, but white would blind you, and would be dangerous. Just try driving with the dome light on.

Thank you kind sir.

I wish I would have done this when I first bought my Jeep.

I am happy that I can now see my cup holders at night.

I think that the green would go well with the 6 disc, mine glows a similar shade of green.

Bitchin! I had some blue LED's to light up the floorboard in my old Toyota, was planning on doing the same to the Rubi, Love the way you put them on the dimmer, and that is a great location. Nice, clean install. Thanks for the ideas.

Rock on

Very cool indeed.

I leave for work @ 4 am... I can't tell you how many times i've spilled my coffee 'cause I missed the cup holder,
the jeep often smells like a coffee shop.

This is a "must do" for me.

Do it in red.
Dim

Bright

Up high(ie driving position) you can't see the lights themselves, only the effect.
Dim

Bright
