I've got this on my to-do list. Thanks for putting it all together (again). I figure a 3" green up front, a 3" back of the console on the dimmer & a white in either footwell ( & maybe back of center console) off the courtesy lights. Now I just need to figure out how & stop being afraid of cutting wires...\

This is a great mod. I was at Harbor Freight the other day and I saw that they had LED light strips for $7. They are the 9" strips. The whole installation took me 30 minutes TOPS. I left some clamps on the light strips to make sure the double sided tape adhered properly.
As you can see, I did mine in red so it wouldn't impair my night vision. I took these pics with a "candlelight" setting on my Olympus Stylus 600 and it picked up more light than you notice. It's perfect at the mid setting for the dash lights. I think the low setting will work well for country driving where it's really dark.
The pictures are a little grainy due to the low light setting but you get the idea.


This is the highest setting.
