Hi,

I´ve just ordered a OME HD kit for my Rubicon. Just a few other questions.

1. Do I need a trim packer, in the front I have them Mopar winchbumper an a Winch,rear-I m going to install also the mopar bumper, but thats would be in a few months.
2. What would be the best size for offroading whitout modification on body.
I´m thinking about 33" maybe 34" but I think 35" would be to much.

Does anyone have experience?

Woods...

Did you say you were rubbing with this lift and 33" tires?

I thought a 2" kit (really 2.25 - 2.5") would clear 33" tires easily.

I know this thread is sorta old, but I wanted to thank everyone who contributed to its write-up.

I used it to install my OME HD lift a couple weekends ago and it went on without a hitch! ...well, I did have to run to NAPA to get a socket I apparently didn't have, but a day working on the Jeep wouldn't be complete without a run to the auto parts store!

Couldn't be happier with the results, but it's making me think I should have bought 35's instead of 33's.

Ah well.

Question Follow Up Qs

Some Q's:

1. Verdict on brake lines? switch or no switch? whats involved?

2. Anyone running the appropriate weight netting the specd lift? Just wondering if I run say an ARB bumper & Powerplant in front and tire carrier on rear on a 4dr if I'll net closer to 2" then 3".

3. Now that folks have had em a while, 35s running ok on OME with proper wheels/backspacing?

thanks in advance

Default thank you

Hey Neal.

Thank you for your update & input. I did shoot an email to David @ Northridge (& he was great). I have an OME on my TJ and love it on & off road. It sounds like ride will be equally as good for the JK - thanks.

Most definitely would like to see your build up as it progresses. Hope you start a thread and fully document it!

We installed the OME HD kit and adj.track bars Sunday....Night and day differance Much much better ride. Look on Show and tell you can see it with stock wheels and tires. Don"t look bad with the stock tires

Hi, after reading all these posts, I'm confused on a couple issues.
I already have the lift here now and I am installing this on by the weekend. I have the HD kit 16 in front, and 18's for the rear with the ome track bar bracket, nitro shocks. My mechanic friend suggested tack welding the bracket because they have come loose quite a bit , I kicked around the track bars, but decided to wait, I now feel I should just put them on.
I also ordered the trim spacers for the front as well to level the jeep up. Is this going to be fine for the time being?? Should I just put all of this in, like it is? make adjustments later??
