Defiantly going to look in to that as well. My only concern is if it is some crazy international tariff that drives the price up here I'll get hit with it on delivery. Might be a good excuse to make a run to Boston.

On a side note can someone invent an emoticon for Plasti Dip?
Plastidipping the emblem was SUPER EASY! And turned out awesome.
I can't imagine taking it off and replacing it to be as easy.
But I am the "get your hands dirty" kind of guy.

Not sure if this was covered already: I used the 3x5 card method to block my tires and it saved me a good half hour of peeling that my buddy had to do.

Ok so just wanted to update everyone on my wheels that I plasti dipped 2 days ago. I did 5 coats, and today on one wheel the plasti dip started to pull away from one of the balancing weights. I got pissed after trying to smooth it out with thinner like dipyourcar.com recommends if the dip starts to peel away, because it continued to peel after i re sprayed it. I ended up peeling it off of all 5 wheels and I wont be tryin it again. Next time i will be using black wheel paint or get them powdercoated at a local shop in ohio called wheel medics. I will say that plasti dip is great for emblems and badges and such, but for wheels it just isnt durable enough for me. Especially when wheel medics only charges $60 a wheel for satin black powdercoat. Let me know if anyone recommends using truck bed liner spray or regular wheel paint because i might try that before i spend the time and money on powdercoating. Hope some can learn from my waste of time and money on plasti dipping wheels. Not worth it for a long term wheel coating, but definitely peeled off very easily once i decided i didnt like it anymore.

I got a quote from a body shop to powder coat my 5 stock wheels and it came in at $600, I'll try Plastidip first.

My thoughts exactly, I won't be powder coating my wheels any time soon.

Yeah i wouldnt spend $600 on powdercoating either, the place i would get mine done at would only be $300. Plasti dip is great for emblems and badges, but for wheels, it is not durable, you can literally scratch it off with ur fingernail. For me it looked ok, but once it starts to peel off or chip it looks like shit. Plus im not the kind of person who likes to keep fixing something cheap everytime it fails or looks crappy, do it right the first time and forget about it. I would rather spend the money on powdercoating because it is the most durable coating you can get for wheels and why skimp on your $30,000+ rig? I tried it and it sucks for wheels , better off painting or truckbed lining ur wheels.
